The 3 R's
Every day we throw away cans, glass bottles, plastic and metal jars and paper. Most of this waste is sent to a dump or landfill where it can take hundreds of years to decompose.It's time to learn the 3 R's of the environment and practise them:
- Reduce: the amount of waste you produce.
Green Tip - Use the computer to teach and learn and print out only what you really need!
- Reuse: Use things again instead of throwing them away.
Green Tip - Use all writing paper on both sides!
- Recycle: make it possible to create new products out of the materials from the old ones.
Green Tip - Buy products that contain recycled materials (e.g. recycled paper)!
